HBSW, RSW. CYW
Hi! My name is Nicole (she/her), and I am a graduate of the HBSW program through Lakehead University. During my education, I was given the opportunity to complete my placement with Dorset Pier Mental Health, and fell in love with the practice and am thrilled to be a part of the team!
I was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on the traditional lands and waters of Fort William First Nation, and I am eager to learn and support people in our community and I hope to create a safe and supportive place for folks who come to see me.
I am trained in ASIST, DBT, TF-CBT, CPT, and ACT, and am always mindful and work from a trauma-informed lens, as well as a strengths-based approach.
Previously, I have received my Child and Youth Work diploma through Confederation College, and have worked several years with youth addictions and mental health. Outside of school, I enjoy being outdoors; hiking, camping, paddle boarding, embroidery, and snuggling my two dogs.
I would be so grateful to be given the opportunity to meet you and learn from each other, and want to thank you so much for being a part of my learning journey.
