MACP, RP
Hello! My name is Drue (she/her). I was born and raised in Thunder Bay, I graduated from the MACP program at Yorkville University in December 2022 and graduated with my HBA in Psychology at Lakehead University in 2020.
I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental environment that gives you the space to tell your story and be heard. I maintain and utilize a strengths-based and client centered approach, meaning that I tailor the tools and approach I use based on the individual and their unique history, challenges, needs, and strengths. I incorporate elements from the following evidence-based modalities in my practice: Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I am excited to recently add Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Trauma focused CBT (TF-CBT) to my clinical toolkit!
I have experience working with adults with a variety of struggles including, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma/PTSD, and stress.
When I am not working you can see me reading a good book, baking, or being in nature.
